This is a soup that I must have made dozens of times, and every time it ends up just a bit different because I often switch up the ingredients. It’s one of my favorite “healthy” things to cook.

Along with the steak tonight, we baked potatoes, using the recipe from Alton Brown’s “Good Eats”.
If you are still baking potatoes in aluminum foil, you should give this recipe a try. I think it’s a lot better.

I’m grilling steaks tonight for dinner.
The recipe (or more accurately, the technique) I use for grilling steaks on the grill out on the deck has been added to the Main Dishes section.
It’s hard to beat a nice thick t-bone. And the dogs suddenly love me every time I do this.
