Ham and cream cheese pinwheels

Published by Tyson

I made these for the, uh…big football game party this year. You know, the one right before “Super Tuesday”… yeah.

Anyway, they were quite a hit. And very simple to make.

Ingredients:

  • Tortillas (get the big burrito-size.)
  • Ham, thin sliced
  • Cream Cheese
  • Green Onions
  • Hot sauce (I used chouloula, anything should work.)
  • Mayonnaise

I didn’t really have a recipe to follow, so I was guessing on the amounts. For 1 box of cream cheese I think I used about 1 lb. of ham, 2 TBSP of mayo, and maybe 1/2 cup of finely chopped green onions.

Let the cream cheese sit out of the fridge for a few minutes to soften up. Mix well with the mayo and green onions.

Lay out a tortilla, cover with 1 layer of ham. Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture over the ham and roll up tight.

After using up about half of the cream cheese mixture I mixed a few teaspoons or so of hot sauce to the mix for the rest of them. (just use however much you want to make it as hot as you like.) I think they’re better this way, but I like to make some plain just for the people who might not like hot stuff so much.

Refrigerate until ready to use. Slice into 1/2″ or so slices just before serving.
